Project setup

For a client in the pharmaceutical sector, we performed an optimization project for their Digital Approval Processes. Our client is a multinational company with offices in Europe, America and Asia. They research, develop and produce proprietary medicines which are distributed worldwide.

In the digital world of today, it is necessary to have a flexible and fast way to publish digital initiatives. The current approval process of our client was seen as a barrier to achieve an optimal digital presence. Trilations was called in to align the visions and streamline the process enabling an efficient and lean approval model.

There were three issues identified,

  1. The approval process was lengthy and without defined accountability.
  2. Different tools were needed for different approvals.
  3. The lead times were long, SLA’s were unclear and changes in procedure weren’t always clearly communicated and trained.

With a team of two business analysts we conducted an in-depth analysis and focus interviews to identify the bottlenecks in the procedures and systems. Our consultants were able to optimize and reorganize the procedures involved and the tools used in a time span of 16 weeks.
